We are facing a problem concerning information and mistrust, making it difficult to take decisions on the most important aspects of our lives.
SUM aims to design tools for seniors and their peers to identify what information to trust.
Our society is facing an unprecedented challenge: the exceptional volume of information available at our fingertips, of which too much is inaccurate, false, or manipulated, has created a crisis of trust in the institutions, the media, and our own capacity to know what is true and what is not. At SUM, we're dedicated to designing tools that help people identify trustworthy information. Our ultimate goal is to create a toolkit that any organizations and everywhere can use to address this challenge. Our inclusive and co-creative design process involves working closely with seniors to understand their needs and concerns. We believe that building a more trustworthy and resilient society requires a networked approach, where we can share knowledge and work together to meet this huge challenge.
We are a EU-funded project that unites three partners from diverse backgrounds and industries. We are united by a strong belief in the power of collaboration and knowledge sharing to tackle society's biggest challenges. We welcome the opportunity to share our experiences with any organization interested in joining us on this journey.
We are a Barcelona-based non-profit organization committed to political and scientific fact-checking, as well as educating citizens on critical information consumption and production. We are members of the EDMO (European Digital Media Observatory) and a verified signatory of the Code of Principles of the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN).
We are facilitators and designers. We facilitate to share and collaborate. We visualize to reveal and understand. We design to communicate and engage. We work on community based processes and social intervention through our projects with Associazione Ramo d'Oro, like Rassegna Stampa per Bambini or Salto!
